YOLO Polo and Piney Woods Polo faced off in the 8 Goal final, as Tammy Livingston did the celebrity bowl in to kick off the match! Piney Woods Polo had the momentum on their side in the first two chukkers, holding on to a 5 to 2 lead heading into the third chukker. YOLO Polo reorganized their strategy, as MVP of the day, Miguel Torres converted two penalty shots to cut the lead to 1 goal. He was followed up by teammate Jimmy Seward, scoring back to back goals on his best playing pony of the day, Don Oscar, earning YOLO Polo their first lead of the game. To close out the first half, YOLO Polo’s big hitter, Joe Wayne Barry, backed up his teammates by converting a defended penalty shot to end the third chukker leading 7 to 5.

| As the polo players took their well-earned halftime break at their tents, the spectators took the opportunity to partake in the champagne divot stomp at center field! Everyone enjoyed the afternoon with complimentary champagne being served from the Shoppa John Deere gator along with plenty of photo opportunities on the iconic Farish Field. The crowd had a chance for a first look at the new Bill Fick Ford F250 and Land Rovers that were on display for all to see. Soon, the divots were stomped and it was time to get the second half of the game underway! |

| Piney Woods Polo’s Jack Kiely and Joao Aranha tried to flip momentum back to their team, outscoring YOLO Polo 3 to 2 to go into the final fifth chukker trailing 8 to 9. Kiely scored his sixth goal of the day, tying the game, and despite multiple goal shot attempts by YOLO Polo, the chukker ended tied 9 to 9 to send the game into overtime. The teams battled hard in the overtime chukker, narrowly missing winning goals, but as the sun began to set, the teams ran out of daylight, ending the game with a coin toss in Piney Woods Polo’s favor! |
