The Kings Cup this past Sunday, presented by Hobbs London, showcased a fast paced 8 Goal match that came down to the wire! |

BTA jumped out to the first lead of the day with the help from their team captain, Steve Krueger, who converted three penalties to Piney Woods Polo’s two goals from the field. At the start of the second chukker, the tone of the game became apparent as the both teams traded leads as the chukker ended tied 4 to 4. In the third chukker, Krueger broke the tie with his fifth penalty conversion, but Aranha and teammate, Drew Luplow, answered with the back to back goals claiming the lead again for the Piney Woods Polo team, ending the first half, and marking the beginning of the half time divot stomp!

| Spectators walked Farish Field, enjoying complimentary champagne, stomping divots, and snapping photos with friends. The new Land Rover, Shoppa John Deere tractor, and Bill Fick Ford truck were on display for the crowd to see. After all the champagne was served and divots were stomped, it was time to finish the match! |

| BTA found themselves in foul trouble as Piney Woods Polo’s Jack Kiely converted two penalties of his own to maintain his team’s one goal lead despite goals from BTA’s Krueger and Joe Bob Lequerica. In the fifth and final chukker, Kiely jumped into action scoring back to back goals to earn his team the biggest lead of the game with the score of 10 to 7. BTA dug in their spurs to try to get back in the match, but came up one goal short in the final seconds, with Piney Woods Polo earning the Sunday win with the score of 10 to 9! |

6 Goal: USPA GENERAL GEORGE S. PATTON JR
The 6 Goal league wrapped up their first tournament of the Fall 2025 season with the final of the USPA General George S. Patton Jr.! Piney Woods Polo and BTA played the final on Saturday morning at a private field in Brookshire, TX. During the first half, the BTA team claimed the first lead of the game, but by halftime Piney Woods Polo had pulled ahead with the score of 3.5 to 3. Piney Woods Polo held BTA scoreless in the third chukker extending their lead to 6.5 to 3. As the fourth and final chukker began, BTA’s Harrison Azzaro scored back to back goals to try to drum up some momentum for his team, but Piney Woods Polo’s Jack Kiely closed the game out with the last goal of the match, earning the win with the score of 7.5 to 5! |
