In the first two chukkers of game one, Pata Life caught Propaganda/W-S flat footed as they surged to a 2.5 to 0 lead. In the third chukker, the momentum changed as Propaganda/W-S scored two unanswered goals from teammates Miguel Torres and Quinn Evans. However, in the fourth chukker, back to back goals were scored by Pata Life’s Marcos Villanueva and Jesse Weaver. While Torres attempted another comeback, he could only get one more goal for team Propaganda/W-S. Weaver and Villanueva responded to Torres’s last goal with two more for Pata Life, taking the first win of the day of Pata Life 6.5 over Propaganda/W-S 3.

As the teams shook hands at the end of the first match, it was time for the “between game divot stomp”! The Bill Fick Ford dually hauled the complimentary champagne onto Farish Field, thanks to Douglas Elliman, for all of the adult divot stompers to enjoy. The Mossy Ineos Grenadier and Shoppa John Deere tractor and gators were also on display for all to see. After the divots had been stomped, group photos taken, and the champagne was enjoyed, it was time to kick off the second feature game of the day between Pegasus/Sentinel Trust and Hicks & Johnson LLC/ML Bar Ranch. |

But Pegasus/Sentinel Trust played an outstanding third chukker, with four unanswered goals scored between teammates Mason Wroe, Joe Bob Lequerica, and Asa Gangjee. Hicks & Johnson LLC/ML Bar Ranch turned up their defense in the final chukker as they held Pegasus/Sentinel Trust scoreless. Robert Orthwein, who was lead scorer for his team, scored his last two goals of the game, but it was too late for a comeback as Pegasus/Sentinel Trust rode away with the win of 6.5 to 5. |
