As the players shook hands and returned to their tents, halftime commenced with the Mossy Ineos Grenadiers leading charge onto the field to open up the “between game divot stomp”. The Bill Fick Ford dually hauled the cooler of complimentary champagne, thanks to Douglas Elliman, for the divot stompers to enjoy as they walked Farish Field. Spectators also had a chance to check out the Shoppa John Deere tractor and gators on display while they walked the field. Soon it was time to wrap up the divot stomp and the second feature match of the day was ready to begin! |

Making their spring season debut on Farish field, Hicks & Johnson LLC/ML Bar Ranch took the lead in the first chukker with a penalty shot conversion from Robert Orthwein, but Propaganda/W-S responded with two goals to end the chukker leading 2 to 1. The teams traded goals in the second chukker, but Propaganda/W-S’s Wesley Sinor extended his team’s lead to 2 goals after scoring his first goal of the day ending the third chukker leading 4 to 2. Propaganda/W-S focused on defense in the fourth chukker, but Orthwein snuck another goal onto the scoreboard, and suddenly it was a one point game. The thirty second warning horn sounded and Hicks & Johnson LLC/ML Bar Ranch’s Nicolai Galindo fought for ownership of the ball, knowing he had limited time to tie the game. He reached out and connected with an impressive 100 yard neckshot, narrowly missing the left Mossy Ineos Grenadier goal post and Propaganda/W-S breathed a sigh of relief as they took the win 4 to 3! |
