As Houstonians enjoyed another beautiful Spring day, Champagne Charles Heidsieck hosted an exciting double header on Sunday for all to enjoy!

BTA’s Lily Lequerica (white jersey) reaches out on True Grit to hook her brother Joe Bob Lequerica on Waylon

To kick off the Sunday afternoon, BTA jumped out to a 3.5 to 0 lead in the first chukker, but Pegasus/Sentinel Trust answered in the second and third chukkers, as David Andras and Mason Wroe caught their team up with 3 unanswered goals! BTA’s Lily Lequerica responded with her first goal of the day maintaining her team’s lead. As the third chukker came to an end, Pegasus/Sentinel Trust’s Joe Bob Lequerica converted a penalty 2 to end the chukker trailing 4 to 4.5. Wroe pushed his team’s offense as Pegasus/Sentinel Trust was first to score in the fourth chukker, taking the lead for the first time of the game. However BTA’s Carin Middleton crushed a neck shot through the goal to take back her team’s lead. Middleton’s goal was followed by teammate Harrison Azzaro penalty 2 conversion to end the game in BTA’s favor with a score of 6.5 to 5.

MVP of the day, Island Time Polo/Plank Companies’ Kendall Plank sets up for a backshot on Chip

As the teams shook hands, and the horses cleared the field, the “between game divot stomp” commenced! The Mossy Ineos Grenadier, the Bill Fick Ford dually, and the Shoppa John Deere tractor and gators drove onto the field for all spectators to enjoy. Patrons combed the field, stomping divots and enjoying complimentary champagne provided by Douglas Elliman. It was a lovely Sunday afternoon enjoyed by all ages, and soon it was time to start the second game of the day between Island Time Plo/Plank Companies versus 3L Energy Solutions/BCI.
